Welcome to AcademInsight (NLTK Version)

AcademInsight (NLTK Version) works just the same as the original version, however in this interface you can add the text directly to the interface. AcademInsight allows teachers and students to analyze academic texts for their disciplinary and communicative purpose characteristics.

The tool has two classification functions: discipline and communicative purpose. The discipline tool classifies texts into four disciplinary groups (arts and humanities, life sciences, social sciences, and physical sciences). The communicative purpose tool classifies texts three communicative purposes (to argue, to explain, to give a procedural recount).

The first step is to select whether you would like to classify your text for communicative purpose or discipline.
